Well, now I'm embarassed. I have a lifetime, so don't follow those regs much.

From the Regs:
Jan. 1 - 15: All hunters must possess a hunting license and a deer archery license for the current calendar year, unless otherwise exempt. Most annual licenses are valid from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31.

One would think that I know them cover to cover but I have to read them constantly. Partly because I've had a lifetime for almost 20 years and I had never seen a paper/annual license (other than a HIP).

Yeah, I try to research all of my quotes on the regs, but just let this one slip by. Sorry to the OP.
I actually educate myself. Its easy to get lazy in making sure one is up to date on the regs.

I too, thought the archery tag extended into January, at least for does, but apparently it doesn't.

The weird thing is that the bag limit does go into the next year.
