Good points. My main point was that in some situations EVs suck less than liberals. So what are you comparing it to?
A gas engine that gets 30 mpg doesn’t cost $1900 in gas.
14,000 / 30 = 466 gallons
@ $3.50 a gallon that equals $1,633
* Those small stations your charging on are subsidized by Telsa and run off the grid.
* Are you paying the “Road use tax”? It’s coming just like gas engines use.
* What’s it’s resale value after 5 years vs a gasoline engine? You might be surprised.
There is a reason gas is high and gas cars are 40 to 50 grand now, EVs must compete at all cost IMO.
Just saying, you could be right if you drive very little or around town, just saying
I promise this will be my last EV post of the day. That trip would take 4-5 days on 110v chargers. But, per the Tesla App I'm still learning to trust, and picking a random spot in Tulsa and another in Charlotte, that 1050 mile-ish trip could be done in 18 hours with 8 Supercharging stops with a combined charging time of 2.1 hours. Maybe a gas car would average 60 mph counting gas, food, bathroom breaks etc. (1050/60 = 17.5 hrs: YMMV). Since almost empty batteries charge faster, I'd sacrifice charging speed to ease my range anxiety, by charging to a higher level than absolutely necessary to make it to the next one. So, it would take a Tesla a little longer than an ICE vehicle and probably cost as much as gas.So if this idiot was on a publicity cruise, why did she go to Georgia? Charlotte to Memphis is a straight shot down I-40 I'm going Tulsa to Charlotte in 2 weeks in a gas car and I couldn't afford 4-5 days on such nonsense.
