Offered to take mama out twice yesterday and she passed both times and instead she made me one of her killer 1/2 lb. cheeseburgers with some homemade french fries and she ate leftovers out of the frig.......gawd I love that woman !

Kind of like "we" did back in 1968. We got married on Christmas Day, and to this day, I still tell folks that "I" did it this way so that I could buy one gift and two cards.
In reality, Christmas was the best time to return home from Pakistan so that all the family members could attend the wedding. I was originally supposed to return to the U.S. in September, but I extended for two months to come home in November for Thanksgiving, but not all the family could do that time either. So, Christmas it was, so I extended another month in Pakistan.

We went out for a prime rib and an illusionist show that was very good. Both of them.

Absolutely!
It was far better than it looked. Chocolate cake, chocolate ganache, cherry filling and cherries in the top. Heavenly it was for sure!

Wife and I went to Walmart yesterday evening to pick up a prescription for me and get a few groceries. We did pick up two small Valentine candy packages at 50% off, so I guess we may celebrate Valentine's Day after all.
