I spoke too soon: FN has changed the safety and styling of the FNP-9. It is now more like the FNP-45. It's called the FNX-9 and you can find info about it at FN's website.
The FNP-9 is a fine weapon. I purchased one for my wife last year. She loves it and I love shooting it too.
In fact, I like it so much, I'm putting together an FNP-45 gun fund as I write.
The FNP-9 has great sights, fantastic balance and I love the safety/de-cocker. The gun shoots great, comes with three full-size mags and is a breeze to field strip and clean. I picked my wife's up for about $100 less than an XDm in the same caliber.
I don't have anything bad to say about the weapon. It is as good a shooter as my Sig Pro 2022. The only advantage my Sig has over her FN is the factory night sights.
