I have a box of 30-06 and 308 accelerators, conversation pieces mostly. I bought several hundred 30 cal sabots probably ten years ago with the intent of launching some 55gr out of my 30-378 but still haven't done it lol.

I've known a couple guys in the past that loaded 85g 30 cal pistol bullets into 308's and 06's with a light load of fast burning powder just for plinking.

My favorite .30-06 round was110gr Federals. Haven't seen them in years, but I have some 120gr.

Pretty sure I have a few 110gr left, but they're old enough to vote. In fact, they're likely old enough to be president...

But they sure were fast!

I don't remember what they were supposed to be doing, and didn't have a chronograph. I should see if I can find that load data. I know they shot so much higher than the 165's and 180's I had been loading, that I about never found where they were actually hitting.
