Free Gun Ranges or places to shoot

We used to go to the public range in Wagoner but after the 1 older gentleman got shot we haven't been back since. Anyone know of a free place to shoot. A coworker said he went straight out 71st street in Broken Arrow until it ends at the land for Corps of Engineers and said you could shoot there but I am not sure about that.

Any input appreciated ?

Snake creek is a great place. Not free but worth the money as they have a very nice facility.

I know at our range at James Collins, they have upgraded the range over the last 2 years. Before it was just an awning and a couple of picnic tables and 100 yard range. Now there are 3 different areas. One at the original has new benches and one that looks like 50 yards and one at at approximately 25 yards. They have nice benches that will rotate to left or right handed. I need to go out take some pictures and sight ins rifle. Just haven't had the time.
