I get it. I highly recommend dropping the tank on any car that has been sitting a while or is getting up there in age, especially if it is a steel tank and not plastic. It can save a LOT of headache while going through all the basic maintenance stuff to get it up and running reliably again.

I don’t know of a company to do it but I’ve seen it done. They make a special sealer to coat the inside of tanks. The tricky part is getting it clean first.

usually involves putting solvent and BBs or pebbles in it and agitating it A LOT. Then thoroughly rinse with solvent. Then apply the tank sealer.
