with the Gen 5s and the 19x craze going on. What’s a good price on a Gen 3 17 or 19 these days?

I was at a pawn shop Monday and a guy was ordering a gen.3 G19 and he paid $475.00 for a new one.He was told he could have the gen.3 or gen 4 for the same price.

I prefer the gen.3s. One of the other gun stores has been telling people for the last several months that you can't buy a gen 3 anymore.That has cost them a lot of business.

Yesterday (Thursday) I purchased a new in the case Glock 26 Gen 3 for $529.00 at a local gun store in Ada.

I prefer the gen.3s. One of the other gun stores has been telling people for the last several months that you can't buy a gen 3 anymore.That has cost them a lot of business.

I have heard the same thing. Maybe Glock is no longer making the Gen 3, but they are still out there, NIB, waiting for a home. I prefer the later Gen 4 models myself, but the Gen 3s are solid pistols.

The early Gen-4’s had some problems with extractors, ejectors and recoil spring assemblies. My latest information at the last Armorers school was that they fixed the problems.

I’m waiting to see what happens with the 5.

I got my Gen-3 27 from Aimsurplus.com for a little north of $300. Used LEO trade in but came with night sights and a +1 mag extension.
