Have to admit now that I've retired and moved to the country, I've gotten a little selfish hoping for snowstorms. When I worked in Tulsa I hated snow. Tulsa is utter chaos when a snowflake falls. When the roads were covered, people only knew two speeds to drive 5 or 50. On a weekend it was entertaining to park in the Reasors parking lot and watch people try to go West up the hill from 71st & Sheridan.

That was epic!
Was giving my daughter a computer that year and setting it up that night, the thing died. Dead as a doornail, the power supply had gone completely. We came up with an excuse that Santa had tripped over a reindeer's hoof in the snow and broke her computer, but left money for a new one. My daughter was worried about Santa and the reindeer more than her broke present, my wife and I are so going to hell for that one.
Was supposed to be starting right about now but they keep pushing it back grrrrr
Had a couple of drifts that went over the gutters on the south side of my house! About 12' by my reckoning.
My brother says the same now and then, as you might remember he lived for 11 years in the neck of the woods where you grew up. The blizzard of ‘09 broke me of wanting a white Christmas snow like that forever
