My wife and I were eating at a local steak house in ada and I noticed an old couple sitting a couple of booths down from us. The old gentleman was wearing a Korean Veteran cap. They had finished their meal and were getting some to go boxes and the waiter was about to give them their ticket. Our waitress was at our table giving us our ticket and I told her to go get the waiter at the couples table and send him to me now. The waiter came over to the table and I told him to give me their ticket. He looked at me and said Really? I said yes, give me their ticket, I told him not to tell them who paid for their ticket just tell them that its paid. He did so and the couple were looking around to see if anyone they knew were in the restaurant that may have paid their ticket. They made their way to the front door arm in arm, my wife and I were just a head of them heading out. As they approached the front door I held the door open for them, reached out my hand to the old gentleman and shook his hand and thanked him for his service. He said thank you and we all parted ways. Once the wife and I were in our vehicle I said to her. You know that little couple will be wondering all day long who paid their ticket and in reality he paid for that ticket with his service to our country in Korea years ago. Not many of those old gentleman left.
