On a side note, being from Kommiefornia and suburbia, but spending 3 years in Stillwater, those combines and other huge farm equipment have fascinated me for a long time.

When I was a junior-high kid back in the 60s, neighbors did the same for my godfather's crop in southern KS when he died just before harvest. Generally speaking, you just can't keep farm neighbors from being neighborly when they see a need.
