I'd imagine that the pilots had to have beaucoup approval before they could do this stunt. The stress is not only on the blades but other mechanisms on the aircraft. I've never seen one of our own pilots do this although a test pilot looped an HH43-B. I almost did once myself by accident.

The newer versions of the blades are made of carbon fiber. It upped the max load quite a bit compared to the old blades.
