Why not just call AIM and get the Spikes midlength upper for $499 shipped?
Then go to Sooner guns and get the Spikes complete lower for less than $300 OTD?
Pick a rear sight somewhere and be done!

Steve at Cold Hand Arms in OKC sells a complete AR-15 kit for $499. It's all Delton and the upper is assembled and test fired.

This would be a opportunity to learn about AR's, and how they work. After a couple hundred rounds, you'll know what you want and can always upgrade. I built one and they work great. For the price, I cant see loosing any money on it and gaining a TON of knowledge.

Because for $525, you can have a superior quality Daniel Defense upper with a cold hammer forged barrel and a $350 rail system from SmartGunner. Granted you still have to get a BCG, but it's a killer deal still yet.

If you have an extra $600 by all means get the Daniel Defense at smartgunner.
It's not mid length and it has an M-4 barrel, 2 negatives in my opinion, unless your mounting your grenade launcher!
It does come with a rear sight. Not $600 worth. Railed handguard, not $600 worth. What else?
Lifetime warranty, that's worth quite a bit!!
