well as much as I respect Colt for what they were, what they are is a far cry from those days of glory. Now if the 1911 market becomes to "flooded" then I guess Springfield it is.....
BLUF: This is a "Who cares?" moment for most of us.

Actually I do hope people get stupid and want them since they can't have them anymore. I'd gladly flip mine for two from Rock River or Sig.

According to this article at FOX News, Colt is focusing on LEO and military needs. I kind of take it that those entities are enough to keep Colt busy, so they will suspend production. Hopefully, it is a temporary suspension.

While I might like to have a Colt, mostly for historical reasons, there are too many other good ones out there.

They only have a name in my opinion.

They've been trying to bank on their name alone for decades with declining success.
I always found it interesting that so many people believe Colt created the AR15 and the 1911. When was the last time Colt actually invented something, 1873?
