Y’all are making it hard for me to justify getting into a new caliber. I may just stick with the FNX for inside the house, and have a suppressed 5.56 on a sling in case I have to move outside.

Maybe I’ll take the money I just saved and buy one of those MP5 clones. Always wanted a roller lock…

A new caliber needs no justification!! Just get them and own it !!!

Start with 12 Gauge and work your way down. In your situation that will be the good ol 45

12g with either buckshot or a combo round like the pdx1.
Your neighbors will thank you.
Additionally, you don’t have to worry AS MUCH about shot placement, which is nice if a break in happens while you’re asleep and trying to adjust to the chaos as you awake.

Well I went the other way. I combined the 5“ cmmg 45 pistol with a silencer co hybrid 46. add to that a 25 round mag. just as quite if not more quiet then the 300 blk

Outside of pie and my registered lethal weapons , I'd prolly use a rifle and/or one of my pistols (Various Calibers). Maybe one of my shotguns. Like that knife kung fu guy off Forged-in-Fire says, "it will kill".
