Yes, like swampratt says. It's wierd, too. Driving in a hard rain and not using wipers.

Target and WallyWorld sell windshield washer fluid that has Rain-X in it. About $3.00 a gallon.

I still say at least call the Hyundai dealer and check to see if it's still under warranty.

If you look past the windshield and the rain, it almost never rains hard enough to really need windshield wipers, even on an untreated windshield.
48 years of wearing glasses and 40 years of working outside in all weather taught me to do it.
It drives my wife nuts.

Neither one taught me to look past the bug innards tho.

Can you see the linkage under the hood?
Or through the hood vents below the windshield? (if you have them).

Unbolt the passangers wiper arm and reposition it at the 1 o'clock position (as seen from the inside). Then you'll have ya a British wiper system!!!!

Rain-X is glass wax, you can do the same thing by running a thin coat of wax on the windshield.
