25 acres is plenty if you have the permission of the land owners around you to hunt. That way you don't have to worry about them and killing all of the wild life on your land. Especially if your land is in the middle or connected to a large farm or quarter.
We have 30 acres and know all of the land owners around our land. We don't hunt deer but allow the other land owners to if they want. We take care of the coyotes and a few other animals on the others land if they request it.
