My adoptive grandson has districts baseball coming up in Wister, Oklahoma pretty soon. Seems like I drove through Wister once a long time ago, but I can't remember if there was any place to stay, or eat or whatever there. Anybody?

I went to these shops a few years ago and they were pretty well stocked with good prices.
I stayed at a State cabin on the lake,but they are probably booked up.

Yeah, that's everywhere, but especially that part of the state.
I'll be outside plenty at ball games. We were just looking for a decent hotel and a place to grease.

You'll be 15 minutes from Poteau. Much bigger town and seems like a lot of amenities. Should have some nice restaurants and a couple decent hotels. Looks like a nice/newer Holiday Inn Express in Poteau.
nearby is Poteau ok, the largest town nearby,, you can head up north to the Spiro Indian mounds, and south to the Heavner runestone,, or travel on the Talimena drive...there are some OK state shooting ranges around there..or at least one by the talimena dr..
