I wouldn't try it. The internal trigger parts are MIM and boron nitride coated which does help reduce trigger pull some. You hone that off and part life is going to be next to nil.
The only other option you have is replacing springs (if you can find them) and that's almost guaranteed to affect ignition reliability. The LCR is one gun I never found a need to mess with, it's already a lot better than a S&W J frame.
