LE Dept stamped shotguns

The other thread got me thinking about an Ithaca Model 37 I got from a sheriff's auction in CO many years ago. It's stamped NMSP on the receiver and was told CO had bought some guns from New Mexico or something along those lines. Also it has the DSPS(Deer Slayer Police Special) stamped on the 20" barrel. I got an after market full choke barrel to hunt ducks with and honestly forgot about the short barrel it came with.

Anyone else with a similar rifle/shotgun? Any value above what a similar Model 37 would bring?

I am not an expert but have owned a couple and from what I can glean from the web is the police marked 37's have sold for around $850 with the Ithaca "Police Specials" like your barrel is marked go for over the $1K level, US marked military 37's are in the $2K -3K range.
