Let's play a game (from 1963) #1 w/answer

I got this book not long ago and I came across this article and I wanted to see how many OSA members could pass.

The rules are simple.

There are 5 scenarios. I'll post 1 scenario each day in it's own thread. Some time between 24-48 hours later I will post the answer as provided by the article.

Read the scenario and then explain how it would be possible for this to happen.

The firing pin was stuck forward because the spring was on the wrong end of it.

^^^I'm guessing this.
Or the firing pin was missing the spring entirely (nothing to hold it to the rear) and the firing pin flew forward against the primer when the action was closed briskly.

Gunsmith should have test fired, after repair. If he was worth a crap as a gunsmith.

I go with the missing firing pin spring. Unless of course the author of this questions initials are A Baldwin?

Yup thats a free floating firing pin; adds 10 HP

Slamming it closed caused the firing pen to spring forward hard enough to hit the primer! im no lever expert so dont kill me.
