Josh, is the Vltor MUR a billet or forged version?

They are forged now. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference unless you held them together.

Yeah, I have a billet one. There is not a lot of difference except if you hold them together. The forged one has a look like the lines were melted a little and the billet is more sharp. One thing about the billet is a lot of hg systems would not work with them but the newer forged ones will. That was the reason I asked because the DD hgs you got there look good with the upper. I might have to go with the DD because LaRue raild hgs will not work with the billets, the Troy rails will only work if fitted (I know, but if the situation arises where free is free), and others do not fit due to the added material.
