I heard Nike's target demographic is under 35 year olds; I would guess it's about the same for Levis.
Plus, they're thinking global market, not just old gun owners.
It might be a money-making move for them.
It's all about branding nowadays boys; whether it's clothing, getting 500k followers on Instagram, or whatever.
Target the people that will be making money in the next 20 years to keep the bucks rolling in.
I'd like to think it will backfire on Levis and Nike, but I'm not hopeful.

Same issue I have getting “timer sand,” from Columbia. By the time it gets to me, it’s only about 60% “timer sand.” Real rip off.
That's the half-life issue.
