I really don't know what you could do to keep them out. I once put a radio in my corn to keep out the coons. They would turn the radio off around 10 pm every night. The only way I ever beat the damn coons was I finally quit planting corn. Serves em right.

I don't know what would work either. Back in high school my friends uncle hired us to use our shotguns at night. We shot them every half hour, pissed from the beer we "borrowed" from the uncles beer box in the barn, and had a pretty good time actually. He wasn't too happy when he found the fridge empty.
