Anyone use it for 223. Looking to start loading for my ar. Anyone have some starting loads. I have 55 grain Hornady fmjbt.

This really isn't a starting load but 25.5 grains of it with 2.249 OAL is a money load for me. Amazing accuracy.

Where did you find some 4895?

I have a couple jugs of it for loading other rounds. Doctor, are you shooting it out of an ar? Thanks for the info

Yes. Out of an AR. This is a 5 shot group I put together the first time I tried it in one of my AR's. This is fairly rapid shooting at 100 yards with a bipod and 4x scope.

4895 is fine to use but it is dirty and it does not work well in a progressive loader becasue it is an extruded powder (there will be a lot of variation in powder charge). Other than that it is accurate with 55gr loads. It does not work as well with the heavier loads. I use TAC for 77gr Sierra loads for AR.
