I'm looking at buying an electronic scale. Just a simple one I can use to check what the powder measure is throwing, weigh bullets, etc.

I'm on Amazon and have found these:

http://www.amazon.com/Frankford-205...06&sr=8-3&keywords=electronic+scale+in+grains

http://www.amazon.com/Hornady-Elect...00&sr=8-1&keywords=electronic+scale+in+grains

http://www.amazon.com/GUARANTEED-Pr...77&sr=8-7&keywords=electronic+scale+in+grains

After reading the reviews, I am beginning to think there isn't a really good electronic scale that I am willing to spend the cash for. Your thoughts?

I have had this one for over 10 years; http://pact.com/index.php?page=shop.browse&category_id=36&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1

If your going to do electronic scales get this one!!!! The cheap ones aren't worth time!!!!

I had 2 or 3 of those small pocket sized electronic scales that would work for a while then would need the batteries changed, most of these were accurate when working. I finally bought a RCBS Chargemaster and use it all of the time.

Calamity Jake I am referring to your "cheap ones".

I've been using the Gempro 250 for 4 years now and it had always been spot on. I calibrate and use check weights and have never had a problem. You can trickle in it also. I got it from oldwillknotts.com and it has a 20 year warranty. I bought the plastic RCBS scale pan with funnel.

I am not a big fan of electronic scales for reloading. However, if you use them make sure and buy a good set of calibration weights and check the calibration regularly. Good luck.

I really like my Lyman electronic scale for quick checking especially if it is not something I'm going to repeat. It's not a replacement for a good beam scale. Also, Temperature swings can really affect the reading.

CB the Frankford Arsenal scale is the only one of the three you listed that I have any experience with, I did try an electronic scale I got off of Amazon, and I had problems with both of them loosing accuracy when the battery started to weaken. I keep a 77 grain 32acp bullet next to them to check that they are still reading correctly. I have a Lyman Electronic dispenser and love it. It stays powered by the wall wart that came with it, and really has retained accuracy. I use it for all the hard to meter powders as it uses a screw drive dispenser to dump powder into the pan and is accurate repeatedly to a tenth grain. I still have the old Ohaus 505 beam scale to fall back to though..

After a lot of thought, I have gone with the RCBS Chargemaster. Natchez has it for, final cost after a $50 rebate, about $275 including shipping. You have to go over $300 to get the rebate, and the scale/dispenser is about $290, so I added some bullets and a funnel to bring it to about $305.

I almost cheaped out, but every time I do that it bites me.

I want to thank everyone who took time to help me in this choice.
