Lumber not expensive enough?

I sell lumber, prices are thru the roof, yet folks are still building houses. Its nuts out there. I remember when studs were $1 ea, now they are $8 and climbing.

What kind of demand for this ridiculously priced lumber are you seeing today? How is demand compared to 6 months ago?

Was just at Home Depot and regular OSB was over $50 a sheet!!! Before the Panda event, it usually fluctuated between $6.50 and $11.00.

most materials are about the same demand.

seeing more than above average demand for 2x lumber and fencing pickets

other parts of the country it’s at $70 per sheet

Can confirm. Ordered a shed and it was 20% markup from a month ago.

with the prices the way they are there is still a housing development being built (about 15 houses I think) and a duplex community being built in Guymon. An 8’ 2x4 is $15 here.
