I suppose one could do an internal post then use the through bolt at the bottom like the originals thus eliminating the hole through the bottom or back, and would allow if not the original angle, at least much closer to it than the 30* like the AR lower mating surface.View attachment 280166

that's *way* too much work than just drilling a hole that is fairly centered lol.

yep, that's the one i got. not sure exactly what pressures it can take, but i'm sure it'll handle .22lr just fine. i have thought about making one in .45 acp just because.....
