I stumbled onto this YouTube video today. It is from a channel called "Police Activity." Oklahoma Highway Patrol officer very cool under fire and in high speed chase.

Since an embedded YouTube video in the forums doesn't allow one to see what is in the description area of the YouTube, I'm copying and pasting the relevant parts below.

"* (Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only) * Oklahoma City, Oklahoma — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol released dashcam and bodycam footage of Trooper Brack Miller engaged in a high-speed pursuit of a black SUV on the Turner Turnpike in Oklahoma City back on Saturday, April 2. During the chase, the suspect, 32-year-old Charles Carswell, opened fire on the officer, striking his patrol car several times.

On April 2, OHP was notified by an agency in Sedona, Ariz. to be on the lookout for armed robbery suspect, Charles Carswell. Troopers spotted the vehicle in Canadian County and attempted to pull the driver over. However, Carswell refused to stop and led troopers on a chase. The video showed Trooper Brack Miller from three different angles, pursuing the Carswell, who was fleeing from authorities. Entering Kilpatrick Turnpike, Carswell could be seen firing shots through his vehicle's rear window, and Trooper Miller is seen on-camera bobbing and weaving from his driver's seat.

Eventually, Miller was able to tactically ram Carswell's vehicle, ending the pursuit. Carswell got out of the vehicle with a rifle and started shooting at troopers while barricaded behind the SUV. Troopers and officers fired back at Carswell, where he was struck and killed on the scene. Two troopers were injured but are expected to recover. As is the case with any incident in which shots are fired, troopers returned fire on the suspect. However, that footage hasn’t been released to the public pending an investigation."

😆Vehicles are OK for concealment, but suck as cover. Thank God most thuggish derplords are, well, derps. Good on OHP and their continued pest control.

Not saying you're wrong, but... Did you see the two rounds thru the Trooper's windshield? Couple more inches to the right and it might've turned bad for our Trooper. Dirtbag might've just been lucky...but sometimes that's enough.

Yup, that was one reason why cars suck as cover.😁

All kids are deficient in the long term decision making process (impulsive) to some degree or another. I was a typical country kid growing up and got into mischief but the line was at damaging someone else's property. If it got damaged, I was to repair it better than it was before I tore it up as my next highest priority. I also started coming home alone at around the age of 6 or 7. We had calves behind the house and two Rottweilers that wouldnt even let my parents spank me outside. I always had a dry erase board covered in my tasks for the afternoon that would be inspected when Mom got home from work. Everything not done correctly was added onto the next day's list along with everything that was already planned for that day. That damned dry erase board was my baby sitter for the few hours until Mom or Dad got home. My Dad was at the fire station 2 miles away in case anything came up and I had a .410 pump shotgun in the well house with a phone so if anything was off I could lock myself in there with the shotgun and phone until Dad got there.

Kids make mistakes, parents devise consequences to ensure they learn from them. Eventually when they get around 28-30 years old they start slowly developing the ability to make decisions based on benefits down the road versus now.

Man O livin that brought back memories.

Kind of miss the rush, but not the pews whizzing by. Or domestic calls, or kid calls, or the politics...🤪
