I don't remember seeing one for less than $220 anywhere.
I paid more than that for mine at OAS about six months ago.
Hey they're a nice rifle for the money.

what scope did you go with? and how's it group at 100? thanks for replys also! OA had the wood for 218 or the composite for 211,which did you get?

Best deal I found was at Academy. Syn. stock kind of a tan color. It is for sure a shooter and tons of fun.

Originally I put a BSA in something like 6-24X.
When I got the little savage as a gift I moved the scope onto it.

On a calm day I put 3 rounds under a nickle.
Much wind and they start blowing around out at distances.

It is a composite stock and stainless gun.
I have it sold pending funds currently.

I've moved the scope onto it and added a bipod to it.

I can't remember the exact price on the rifle but I paid 300 for the rifle, cheap sling, two boxes of ammo and cheap rings. I got it for my son's 9th bday.

I just bought the same thing in left hand. Put a cheapo 3-9 Redhead on it. I get 5 shot group you can cover with a quarter. No telling how close it would get with a good scope and a clean barrel. I put 100 rds through it before I cleaned it (didn't have a .17 rod), and haven't shot it since.

I've really became a big fan of the 17's.
Have both calibers and like both.

When used within thier limitations they are great little rounds.

I have the thumbhole savage too and it is a great shooter. Many prairie dogs died a few weekends ago sticking only their heads out of the hole.
