He killed an unarmed civilian whom he had no authority to interrogate in the first place. What's the problem?

Evidently you do not believe in due process of the law or forensics. This evidence should not have been withheld by the prosecution. Railroading the outcome of a trial(military or civilian) is not justice:

..... "A forensic expert witness for the government was never called to testify, but told Behenna's attorney - near the trial's conclusion - that he would have made a good witness for them. Questioned by Behenna's attorneys, prosecutors said they didn't know what he was talking about."......

....."Vicki Behenna, who is a federal prosecutor in Oklahoma City, said she found the appeals court's reasoning “disturbing,” since the expert's testimony would have corroborated that of two defense experts and given her son's self-defense claim more credibility.".....

Sounds like a prosecutor that's trying to add a whole bunch of wins in court to bolster his ego/career. And there could also be some politics and/or foreign relatilons things go on and they wanted Behenna to go away?

Yup and yup. There just has to be more going on here. I'm just wondering if the dude he killed was somehow related to a government official in some way and there is some sort of "quiet agreement". It's just not adding up.

Did it ever mention who the two were that say the victim was sitting down while
Forensics proved otherwise? They very well could have one IA guy And the other his terp.
