So I got a call today from a dealer saying they had a M&P shield in. The issue is they want 450 for it which is about 40-50 over what they should be selling it for. Plus i would have to drive over an hour to go get it. I want one but I hate feeling like I'm being taken advantage of due to supply and demand. This is my first poll so i hope it works. What would you do?

Where did you see them for around $400?
I have had several dealers quote 386-399. Online I have seen 399-425. Problem is they are all out of stock and have waiting list 10-20 people long. I just happened to find a small town dealer without a waiting list. When I first asked how much it would be, he said something along the lines of "We'll it will depend on what they are going for when it comes in." I knew right then it could go either way.
Another dealer told me since then that S&W has not changed their pricing since the first release.
