Muzzle chip on a Ruger SR9c

The finish on the muzzle of my Ruger SR9c has chipped. It's never been holstered or dropped. Is this something I should have Ruger check out?

Remember your slide is stainless steel, all Ruger did was paint them black. Eventually the finish is going to fade/chip from shooting, handling.

I'd just wait for the recall - then you'll be given instructions on how to send it back and you'll probably get a free magazine
