I've taken 2 does this year, and plan on taking at least one more. Plus my father and wife will probably take one each. I see alot more does than bucks. I made a concious decision to thin out some of the does. My dad keeps sayin, without does, you'll have no bucks!. I agree, but I'm not killing ALL the does. just some. and the two I've taken were from different parts of the property so they were from different groups.

Forgot to say this was first blood for my new smokeless muzzleloader. Deer fell instantly, and crawled about eight feet. CB

Beautiful, but not unusual around Lake of the Arbuckles.

Theory is that escaped deer-like critters from local zoos and private high fence areas have tweaked the gene pool a bit. I have seen whitetails with moose like antlers, and this guy has just a little of that. CB

I've taken some bucks with a fair amount of palmation in NC Ok.
Sure helps the score.
