My new POF-USA Lower starting the build!!

Heres a few pictures of my new POF Billet lower that finally showed up. This thing is super clean and surprisingly lite. POF's website claims 10oz's but i dont have a small scale to compare it with. Either way will be a nice foundation for my build. Already got a lower parts kit just need to scoop up everything else and get it together. Probably gonna be running a Regular gas upper from BCM just not sure what all i want on it yet, but it will be a 16" barrel w/mid-length gas system. Rail system will cover the gas block but other than that still up in the air. I really like the BCM/ Vltor upper quite a bit and the price isn't outrageous so it'll more than likely fit the build pretty well but time will tell.

List of whats going in/on the lower as i get it gathered up over the next month or 2:
*Daniel Defense LPK
*KNS trigger pins
*Magpul MOE pistol grip
*Magpul ASAP sling plate
*Magpul MS2 Sling
*Spikes Tactical Buffer tube kit
*Magpul ACS, CTR, or Vltor Emod stock haven't really decided yet.

I have always liked those lowers. What are the plans? I would love to do a SBR on one of them....

Mainly just a solid go to rifle. it'll be used for range time/ training/ home defense/ and maybe some hunting. Something that'll last and can take a beating if need be.

and you know possibly later down the road i'll register it for a 9mm upper but for now it'll just be a 5.56 gun.

I may be wrong here, but I'm pretty sure you don't have to register anything, especially for caliber changes. 9mm, 7.62x39, 5.56, whatever.

Right i forgot to mention that. If I build a 9mm its gonna be a SBR with a 7-10" barrel. I just dont really see the point in having a 9mm upper with a 16" barrel but thats me.

Thats what I figured u ment by that.

Im about to start a SBR in 5.56 but I havent figured out anything other than I wanna run an 11.5" bbl LOL

I will ahve to post of pics of my next build as I do it. Its gonna be a flashy one haha.

Sometime down the road I want to do a new build with a billet lower....thats some SWEET blackness for sure!

Yeah, I have a 9mm and a 5.56 that are 10.5" and 11.5", but they are pistols. One of these days I'll get uncheap and spend the $200 each on them, but not today. I'm thinking I'll probably just SBR my 16" rifle and have different uppers for it, and just sell the pistol lower when the time comes. For the 5.56, anyway...

Thanks! and yea i agree with ya it'll be a while before i even begin to start thinking about getting this thing registered. Its about to drive me nuts already not having it completed yet.

Ended up deciding on the spikes tactial stock kit with a magpul ctr stock off their site its like $150 so not too bad. But I'm keeping my eyes open here on the board in case any good deals come up between now and the time i get around to ordering the rest of what i need to get the lower together. Still trying to decide if i wanna go with an FDE or OD pistol grip and stock but i cant decide.........
