It's tough to find a pair that will both keep your hands warm and be thin enough to be perfect. I wear Mechanix Brand with the subdued logos (Advance Auto is the only place I've found the subdued ones). They hold up extremelly well and are a mix of all the usual criteria. Best of all when I get blood on them or rip them I don't feel bad tossing them and getting a new pair. I used to buy all the uber tactical gloves but figured I'd spend my money else where.

Nomex flight gloves will do fairly well. So will the blackhawk gloves, under armour gloves or quicksilver liner gloves. Your hands will usually be cold, it's the name or the game. You can try to keep the dexterity with the above gloves though

Thanks for the help guys. I think I will look into the mechanics gloves first. I am in a nice vehicle most of the time but do have to get out and do all kinds of stuff.
