Swampratt has the cheapest Idea. I've used those welding rods with the flux removed for many projects.
Go to any automotive store or lowes and get some 1/8" tubing that is the cheapest you can find and thread it on the welding rod after you bend it the way you want.
It sounds like you're not too picky, so go cheap and be done.
Welding rod, an Ironworkers favorite tool.

I have welding rod that I sharpened and drove it into the stud in the garage wall then bent it into a j hook and hang 50 feet of 1/2" air hose on it.
Has been working for 22 years without any adjustment.

I use it to hang steel targets, they ring better than hanging by a chain.

If you were closer I would give you some.

You can make your own with a bucket handle like one of the lowes or HD buckets, and a pair of Kleins (wiremans pliers).
Amazon.com: Wire Bending Jig Tool Wire Bender Forming Wrapping Fixture Jewelry Making with pins Something like this is pretty handy for that sort of work, too. I found mine in a bucket of stuff at a thrift shop about 45 years... Don't always need it, since I've also got a couple of dozen kinds of pliers, but it's got advantages, too. I keep telling myself I'm going to make one from a block of steel, but it hasn't happened yet.

Google “Rafter Hooks”. Everybody sells them. They my not help the Original Poster, but will help a lot of others. They’re strong and instantly be hooked over a 2x4 or any 2x-whatever wood piece. Instantly move to adjust or remove.

Thank you for all the help. I found a solution that wasn't too expensive. Bought two power tool pegs and two rafter hangers. Total cost was around $13. So it wasn't too bad.

Damn, you guys are awesome. I just asked for the name of the hooks and i'm getting some nice info. Could i use the rubber tubing used to cover electrical wires as well? I'm not too worried about scratches. I'm never selling these guns. They are one of the few things my father left me when he died, so i'll be holding onto them, lol. I just have a lot of stuff in my room, and i'm always having to move my rifles around and it gets annoying. So sticking them on that peg board would solve my issue.
No sence of scratching up a fine firearm for no reason!
