Need help HEAtER problem

Ok so I went to turn on my heater and it clicks and flames comes on then shuts off like its not lighting the pilot don't know what to do about
If anyone has any info or a good repair guy that would be great thank you

Sounds like it could need a thermocouple.
You might call home depot or lowe's, maybe they can help you.
Themocouples are pretty easy to change.


no-no-no

try the flame sensor. it is the little rod that sits in the flame and has one wire going to it. take it out and sang it with new emery cloth or paper. dont touch it when you put it back in.

Hi,

I agree with Ty, my father in laws would do the same thing - go through the entire process only to shut itself down because it doesn't detect the flame. Replacing the flame sensor fixed it up.
