My CMMG bargain bin rifle and I just finished off the last of some older loose ammo that was given to me. The brass is marked LC 73 (lake city?) and appears to have 55 grain soft point projectiles. My rifle consistently shot sub-moa groups with this old stuff, so I'd like to buy ammo with similar specs. Any ideas? I would like to stay with soft points if possible so I can do some 'yote hunting.

Well, if it was surplus, it would have been xm193 if the bullet was a 55gr.

Are you looking to reload something similiar or to buy?

If buying, I bet you could find some more Lake City xm193s out there.

If you are wanting to reload to similar specs,.. just google "LC xm193 recipe" or "Lake City xm193 clone load data."

The soft point thing just confuses me. I wonder if they were reloads. I thought Lake City was a military aresenal.
