If going with gas i would without a doubt go with weber. I have a brinkmann, and have had no problems with it other than some rusting of internal parts (which I believe is somewhat common and can replace said parts). A friend of mine got a Weber about the same time as I got mine and it hasn't rusted at all! Might also check out www.smokingmeatforums.com for some ideas.
