Maybe rural Oklahoma in general. That would be on par with the majority of other job pay scales. As for Oklahoma City a quick Google search says police officers are making over 48-60 grand a year and lieutenants into the 80,000s. That’s not bad pay. Not to mention there are a lot of side gigs that pay good money.
I personally have no sympathy for teacher pay. They chose that career field. For decades people have known that the pay was low.
