I know several folks who transfered to WPX from the felix energy acquisition last spring who are being laid off. I hope those who got their walking papers can find a spot somewhere but with the push for green energy even the permian basin is suffering. We'll see what happens with the increase in oil prices but I don't see another boom coming anytime soon.

The boom is just around the corner. When the economy nose dives and the Democrats need votes, they will be all behind fossil fuel. Just my 1 cent opinion.

Glad to see it.Never thought that buying HAL and DVN at $5.00 per share would be a better investment than buying AAPL, and a lot cheaper.

My energy stocks have sucked for years. They are finally starting to move too.

This is just a generic chart on my yahoo finance page. The blue is the S&P 500, the red are my energy stocks. I am not sure about the timeframe of the chart, but energy has been way behind the S&P for years.
