Probably not. But they did tell everyone where it could be found.So - did the newsfolk do the responsible thing and gather all the stuff up and make sure that everything that needed to go somewhere got there, with the rest securely disposed of by shredding, etc.?
The records must be kept 20 years by the FFL or be turned in to the ATF, if the FFL goes out of business. The ATF can look at the FFL's records anytime they want and they are routinely checked/audited. I have had two guns traced back to me by the ATF using the 4473's in the past.Credit card slips for many years now show only the last four digits of the card number. Credit card slips old enough to have the entire number printed on them are likely not still valid these many years later. Cancelled checks? The people who wrote them may have already passed on. 4473's from many years ago used as a sort of back door gun registry?? Is Alex Jones in on this?? The ATF does not have the manpower nor the man hours necessary for such a thing. A tempest in a tea pot....
