OU Hockey Teddy Bear Toss Tonight

Any OU fans out there looking to get out and do something, come to Blazers Ice Centre to see the Sooners take on the Arizona State Sun Devils at 5pm.
These guys play hard and need a good crowd to cheer them on.

Bring a brand new teddy bear to toss onto the ice after the Sooners first goal. Donations will go to Oklahoma Children's Hospital.

I heard about a similar event for the Hershey, PA minor league hockey team a few weeks ago. They threw 53,000 stuffed animals onto the ice. Took over 30 minutes to clear everything off the ice so the game could continue.

I'm gonna have to go check out an OU hockey game sometime. I never even knew they had a team until it was mentioned here in another thread some time back. Ice hockey is the greatest sport ever, IMHO.

Prior to becoming the NHL New York Islanders they were known locally as the Long Island Ducks. Whenever they'd score a goal the fans would toss out little rubber duckies.

I'm gonna try to make it to that one. What time is face off? Is the Blazer Ice Center the one south of Crossroads Mall? Seems like I was there once to watch Blazers pre season training. I met coach Doug Sauter, Steve Simoni, Smokin' Joe Burton, Doug Lawrence and a few others.

So who won last night?

ASU swept both games, Fri 1-2
And Sat 3-5

Sooners were on the penalty kill all night and just couldn't hold them off late in the game. Refs were atrocious. Sooner goalie Gage Redman played well most of the game, but ASU power play wins the night.
