I have one I haven't looked at in a long time, it's in 6.5x55, I was told it was for the Norwegian Army.
Your divorce of that rifle would certainly be beneficial to the sister swedes (1899 and 1900) happiness while imprisoned in the safe. And a fine stable acquisition for me.

Haha, I'd maybe consider it, don't sell too much stuff, I'd need to figure what its worth. I used to shoot it some but always loaded cartridges a little light, I have shot is with shells I bought as well but usually loaded for it. 6.5x55 is my favorite cartridge, that's why I bought it.

I learned to reload for the Krag. As was mentioned lead bullets with gas checks that thing would shoot and with jacketed bullets was accurate but could kick like a young mule When loading the heavier bullets. Have to laugh still have all that reloading stuff

Here is a group photo of the Krags currently in my care. Top to bottom:
1894 Rifle w/ full length cleaning rod
1896 Rifle
1896 Carbine
1898 Rifle
Gallery .22 rf
1899 Carbine
1899 Carbine modified at SA to short rifle to accept bayonet
(also known as a constabulary or school gun)
Not show is the 1898 Carbine I got at the Tulsa show this last spring.
Next are 3 bayonets with 3 differnt versions of the scabbards
1894 blued (1894 and half of 1895 blue - then all bright), 1897 bright, 1902 bright
I recently aquired a krag bowie bayonet but I have no photos of it yet. May add later once photographed. OK added and it is dated 1900.
