This may be the wrong place. I have a chance at 2 AR 15s

1. A Colt HBAR compitition 20 in barrel oll original built in 92 so it is a pre ban gun

2. A Bushmaster modular carbine brand new in box 16 in heavy fluted barrel

Either gun will not be used fo any certain pourpose I just want an AR I like the looks of the colt but I hear good things about bushmasters.
I already own a M1a scout squad that I shoot alot if that matters

Loooong time ago...when I was into AR15's I had a Colt HBAR II,...16"...can't remember... Bushmaster(full size)20"barrel along with an Armalite(full size)20" barrel.

I bought them brand new, they shot very well, and did what I wanted them to do.

The only difference, was when I went to sell them. All three were well known, and I sold the all. One- had the name people knew quite well-Colt.

Bottom line...both are good guns...so...look at re-sale or trade value.

A while back I bought one of the New Mexico State Police surplus COLT HBARs from OPS for under $600 out the door.
I wound up trading it straight across online to a guy for a COLT SP-1 Carbine.
Yeah....that was a score-and-a-half!
