[Saturday's episode was a near repeat of 2008, when Paul backers succeeded in overwhelming other factions at the St. Charles caucus, according to Kipers. Their elected delegates were subsequently tossed from the congressional-district convention for being verifiable Libertarians (by primary voter rolls) and not Republicans, although Missouri has no voter registration by party.

At the state convention, in a spirit of reconciliation according to Kipers, they were reinstated and the officials who had barred them were themselves barred for having done so.]

Yeah. See the video of one of the arrests? So much for the right to assemble.

As was noted in the comments section of the yahoo article:

When the GOP Chairman realized Paul was going to get all of the delegates, he shut down the caucus. The Ron Paul supporters started demanding that state Caucus rules be strictly adhered to. When the chairman blew them off, THAT's when people started getting mad and then arrested. TELL THE ENTIRE STORY YAHOO!!

Now, there's two sides to every story, but with the dirty pool that's been played in Maine and Nevada (and elsewhere), I'd tend to believe this account, as it falls in line with actions in previous caucuses and primaries this year.
