Received the rifle - and it is way more than I expected.
Bore is dark, but perfect otherwise with sharp lands and grooves and no frosting (bright 70-year-old non-chrome-lined barrel would be a concern).
Correct scope with matching numbers.
Correct bolt handle with matching numbers.
Correct stock.
Trigger pull - head and shoulders above "stock" 91/30.
Floor plate force-matched - but in correct "font".
But plate is original and matches.
Stake marks on the scope mount and front iron sight - line up at 100 yards on target.
Serial number is only 3 off "known" sniper on gunboards.com list.
My concerns:
Rear sight is pinned - I'm not sure if that's correct for snipers.
Scope mount wood cut looks old - but is not shellac coated like the rest of the rifle.
First five out of the rifle - top/left was me (I swears ....) 150SN .311 Hornady 21.0 4759
Next five - 150 FMJ PPU 21.0 4759
