Why not consolidate your gadgets with something really nice?

Bushnell Fusion 1600 arc.

Has angle-correction to give you "true" across-the-ground range, in both bow/steep, and rifle/regular modes. Really nice binos, too. I'm surmising that these are Elite 4200 bino glass. It's the whole package.

That's what I'm saving for. Saves weight and hassle by combing 2 gear items into one. In the meantime, cheap $150 Bushnell LRF works fine for me at present. Simmons LRF is for sale at Bass Pro at $90-$100 right now.

I haven't sported a bigger chub for any gear in some time than this Fusion thing.

The Nikon range finders used to be, and probably still are, made by Bushnell. Bushnell was the innovator of inexpensive laser rangefinders several years ago. Leupold's may be made by them also. They all look eerily similar to each other.
