i will let some else be the guinee pig:nono1:, but i hope it pulls through for them...i would still have a problem giving:hellno: that much for something thats not proven it self yet...

Any scuttlebutt about where it's being made or by whom?

Remington would have hit a home run if they'd just made a plain-jane clone of a WWII Remington-Rand and priced it the same as this R1.

Unfortunately, they didn't.

The article the OP posted says that they will be made by Remington in NY.

I was sold until I saw the picture.

One too many days at biz' school and some marketing genius in NY wants to see how big of print they can use to put their brand name on the slide.

Yuck. How do ugly up a classic handgun. Thanks Remington.
